Though I mostly enjoy drawing from my imagination, it never hurts to do some life studies so that I have some mental references:) The sites and people I have encountered traveling become fodder for my own inventions:) The portrait is of a friend who has such amazing intensity to his face, love it:) The model study was just from a ten minute pose but I liked his expression and disposition. The portrait of the older man I saw while traveling in England, so stoic! The ballerinas were drawn from a ballet I saw in Sydney called 'Manon'. Can't resist drawing something so romantic...And then, when there is nothing else you can always draw what you find in your veggie drawer:)
